XIONG Mingrui, FU Yao, LIU Qian
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.001
Objective
To investigate the impact of inter-parental conflict on the relationship between children and fathers in divorced families, and explore the roles of father-child relationship and mother-child relationship before divorce.
Methods
A survey was conducted on 212 adult individuals from divorced families by using the children’s perception of inter-parental conflict scale and parent-child cohesion scale, and 192 valid questionnaires were obtained. The relevant data were statistically analyzed.
Results
The inter-parental conflict negatively impacted on the father-child relationship in divorced families. The relationship between fathers and children before divorce fully mediated the impact of inter-parental conflict on the father-child relationship, and the mother-child relationship before divorce had negative moderation in the impact.
Conclusion
The father-child relationship in divorced families is affected by inter-parental conflict and the initial father-child relationship before divorce. Moreover, the better relationship between children and mothers, the more significant influence of inter-parental conflict on father-child relationship before divorce.

SHI Danli, LIU Shaoying, JIANG Yujuan, CHEN Fangfang, XU Qingning
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.002
Objective
To explore the influence of parenting sense of competence on children’s problematic behaviors, and test the mediating effect of parental motivational evaluation.
Methods
A total of 129 children aged 4 -17 years completed online test by using the Chinese version of parenting sense of competence scale, motivational evaluation questionnaire, and parents’ strengths and difficulties questionnaire. The related data of the questionnaires were statistically analyzed.
Results
The dimensions of efficacy and satisfaction in parenting sense of competence were significantly negatively correlated with children’s problematic behaviors, and significantly positively correlated with parental motivational evaluation. There was a significant negative correlation between parental motivational evaluations and problematic behaviors in children. Parental motivational evaluation played a complete mediating role in the relationship between the efficacy dimension of parenting sense of competence and children’s problematic behaviors, and played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the satisfaction dimension of parenting sense of competence and children’s problematic behaviors.
Conclusion
Parenting sense of competence can affect children’s problematic behaviors through motivational evaluation. Parents are advised to learn and apply motivational evaluations to reduce the occurrence of problematic behaviors in children.

Current status and developmental trends of parent-child conflict research: a visual analysis based on CiteSpace
WANG Jixuan, XIA Yuxin
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.003
Objective
To analyze the research status, hotspots, and developmental trends of parent-child conflict among middle school students, and provide reference for promoting adolescent mental health.
Methods
The bibliometric software CiteSpace was used to visually analyze the relevant literature on the theme of“parent-child conflict”from 1996 to 2022 included in the Web of Science core collection. The current research results were presented in a structured manner.
Results
From 1996 to 2022 , the number of publications in the field of parent-child conflict showed an upward trend. Parent-child conflict research has formed an international cooperation network centered on the United States, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, but a group of high-yield and high-influence core authors and research teams have not yet been formed. The frontier issues in the field of parent-child conflict involved three aspects: environmental factors, mental health, and problem behavior. The research hotspots focused on family environment, conflict behavior, emotion regulation, and symptom performance.
Conclusion
In the future, more cross-level research should be carried out, focusing on parent-child communication, strengthening the research on coping strategies for adolescent parent-child conflict from the perspective of positive development, focusing on collaborative innovation, and strengthening institutional cooperation.

ZENG Shaoqi, XU Yiwei, SUI Shanjie, HUANG Jiaxin, LIN Jing, ZHANG Yongsheng
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.004
Objective
To explore the relationship between depression and loneliness, and reveal the mediating effects of cognitive emotion regulation strategies between them.
Methods
A total of 250 university students were testedby using the center for epidemiologic studies depression scale(CES-D), the loneliness scale, and the cognitive emotionregulation questionnaire, Chinese version(CERQ-C). The relevant data were analyzed statistically.
Results
Lonelinesswas significantly positively correlated with depression(r=0.700, P<0.01). Except for the dimension of rational analysis, other dimensions of cognitive emotion regulation strategies were significantly correlated with loneliness and depression(P<0.01). Through regression analysis of structural equation models and Bootstrap method testing, it was found that loneliness positively predicted depression, with a direct effect of 0.55. Positive reassessment and catastrophizing played multiple mediating effects, with a total indirect effect of 0.15.
Conclusion
Loneliness in university students can positively predict depression, and cognitive emotion regulation strategies play a multiple mediating role between depression and loneliness. Effective intervention for depression in university students can be achieved by reducing loneliness and optimizing the selection of cognitive emotion regulation strategies.

GU Jiyan, LI Zheng, WANG Nianrong, LUO Yating
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.005
Objective
To summarize the characteristics of early language development delay in children of different ages and genders, and provide evidence for the early intervention.
Methods
A total of 659 children(490boys and 169 girls)aged 12-35 months diagnosed with language development delay in the Department of Child Health Care, Chongqing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from November 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects. The children’s language development level was evaluated by using Gesell developmental schedule. The children were grouped on age and gender, and age and gender differences in language development levels were examined.
Results
There was no significant gender difference in the language development level of children in the 12-23 months group. In the 24-35 months group, boys had significantly lower scores in speech and language expression than girls
(P<0.05). The proportion of abnormal speech and language expression in children aged 24-35 months, and the proportion of abnormal auditory perception and understanding in boys, were significantly higher than those in the 12-23 months group (P< 0 .05).
Conclusion
Among children with language development delay, boys have poorer language expression abilities. Especially after 24 months of age, the language development of boys is more delayed than that of girls, and the proportion of abnormal auditory perception and understanding is higher than that of boys in younger age groups. Therefore, in clinical practice, attention should be paid to the language development of young children, especially boys, and intervention should be implemented as early as possible.

CHEN Runze, ZHAO Li
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.006
Objective
To explore the post-traumatic growth experiences and feelings of the primary caregivers of children with epilepsy.
Methods
Thirteen primary caregivers of children with epilepsy were selected as the research subjects by using purposive sampling method, and semi-structured interviews were conducted by using phenomenological research methods in qualitative research. Colaizzi analysis method was used to analyze the data and extract and summarize themes.
Results
The post-traumatic growth experience of the main caregivers of children with epilepsy could besummarized into 4 themes: positive coping(positive cognitive attitude and enhanced personal strength), improvementof interpersonal communication(more harmonious family relationship, closer parent-child relationship, and increasedempathy and altruistic awareness), deepening of life insights(cherishing life, reorganizing event prioritization, and changing personnel attitudes), and perceived social support(support from family and friends, support from medical staff, and support from patient alliances).
Conclusion
The primary caregivers of children with epilepsy perceive negative emotions caused by traumatic events, as well as positive experiences of post-traumatic growth. Medical staff should promptly identify the positive psychological experiences of caregivers, fully explore their potential for post-traumatic growth, and guide them to adopt positive and effective coping strategies in order to improve the level of post-traumatic growth, enhance their caregiving abilities, and ultimately improve the quality of life of the children and themselves.

DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.009
Objective
To explore the effects of balance time perspective on media multitasking behavior, and investigate the mediating role of mindfulness between them.
Methods
A questionnaire survey was conducted on 427university students by using Zimbardo time perspective inventory(ZTPI), media multitasking scale, and mindfulnessattention awareness scale(MAAS). Statistical analysis was conducted on data related to the deviation of a balanced timeperspective coefficient(DBTP), media multitasking behavior, and mindfulness level.
Results
DBTP was significantlypositively correlated with media multitasking behavior(r=0.32, P<0.001)and significantly negatively correlated withmindfulness level(r=-0.51, P<0.001). Mindfulness level was significantly negatively correlated with media multitasking behavior(r=-0.38, P<0.001). DBTP directly predicted media multitasking behavior positively(β=0.28, P<0.001), and when the mediating variable mindfulness was included, DBTP’s predictive effect on media multitasking behavior remained significant(β=0.15, P<0.01). DBTP had a significant direct effect on media multitasking behavior, and mindfulness had a significant mediating effect, with direct effects(0.15)and mediating effects(0.13)accounting for 53.07 % and 46.93 % of the total effect, respectively.
Conclusion
Balance time perspective has a negative predictive effect on media multitasking behavior, with mindfulness playing a mediating role between them.

LI Yuemeng, GUO Fei, CHEN Zhiyan
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.011
Objective
To explore the effects of technoference on the quality of parent-child shared-book reading(SBR), and investigate the role of toddlers’ gender in it.
Methods
An online anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted on mothers of toddlers aged 12 to 36 months, including demographic characteristics survey questionnaire, technology device interference scale(TDIS), and StimQ cognitive home environment questionnaire. A total of 307 valid questionnaires were obtained. Then the technoference levels, quality of parent-child SBR, and demographic characteristics were statistically analyzed.
Results
Correlation analyses showed that there was a significantly negative correlation between the technoference level and the quality of parent-child SBR, and the gender of toddlers played a moderating role between them. For boys, technoference significantly negatively predicted the quality of parent-child SBR, but this phenomenon was not evident in girls.
Conclusion
The negative impact of technoference on the quality of parent-child SBR is moderated by the gender of toddlers, with boys being more susceptible.

SONG Jiao, ZHANG Yifan, QING Hailong
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.012
Objective
To explore the effects of interpersonal relationships on sleep quality in university dormitories, the mediating role of emotional intelligence, and the moderating role of social support, and provide a basis for physical and mental health interventions to university students.
Methods
The university students residing in dormitories were selected as the subjects. A total of 478 valid data were collected through online testing by using the dormitory interpersonal relations scale, Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale, emotional intelligence scale, and perceived social support scale. Statistical analysis was used to explore the correlations and interaction paths among the variables.
Results
There were significant correlations between interpersonal relationships in dormitories, emotional intelligence, perceived social support, and sleep quality(P<0.01). Emotional intelligence partially mediated the relationshipbetween interpersonal relationships and sleep quality, with an effect value of 0.028(95 %CI: 0.002-0.064). Theperceived social support moderated the first half of the mediation path(interpersonal relationships in dormitories →emotional intelligence → sleep quality), and reinforced the predictive role of dormitory relationships in emotional intelligence.
Conclusion
Interpersonal relationships in dormitories directly affect sleep quality and indirectly affect sleep quality through the mediating effect of emotional intelligence, with perceived social support playing a moderating role. Universities should pay attention to students with tense interpersonal relationships and poor sleep quality in dormitories, emphasize the joint effect of multiple factors, and promote the physical and mental health of university students.

Influence of parental body talk on adolescent health
LI Dan, ZHANG Honghong, WANG Kui
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2095-4301.2024.04.014
Parental body talk will affect the development of adolescent body image. Whether the body image is healthy or not not only affects physical health, but also has a profound impact on mental health. With the rapid growth of the body and the gradual maturation of the secondary sexual characteristics, adolescents pay much attention to appearance, making it a critical period for body image development. The influence of parental comments on Chinese adolescents’ body image has been less addressed. Parents also rarely consider the potential consequences of comments they made to their adolescent children. The present study reviewed findings of previous studies on the influence of various types of parental comments on adolescents’ body image, including criticism/praise, weight teasing, encouragement to diet, and self-deprecating fat talk, and also explored the possibility to improve the adolescents’ body image through intervention on parental comments.
