The relevant data were statistically analyzed. Results The inter-parental conflict negatively impacted on the father-child relationship in divorced families. The relationship between fathers and children before divorce fully mediated the impact of inter-parental conflict on the father-child relationship, and the mother-child relationship before divorce had negative moderation in the impact.
