Abstract:With the increase of learning and living pressure, the prevalence of adolescent depression is increasing. Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI)behavior is one of the typical symptoms of adolescent depression, which poses a serious threat to the physical and mental health of adolescents. Therefore, it is particularly important to take active and effectivetreatment measures. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) , as a safe and noninvasive neuromodulation technique, has been increasingly confirmed in the treatment of depression. This article reviews the etiology and mechanisms of NSSI behavior in adolescent depression patients and the current status of rTMS treatment.
