Abstract:Congenital esophageal atresia(CEA)is a serious congenital digestive tract malformation. Surgical treatment can restore the structure but not the function. Children with CEA face the challenge of non-oral to oral feeding in the long-term survival. Among children with CEA, 21%-84% have dysphagia, which leads to serious complications such as lung disease, language development disorders, and malnutrition. This paper introduces the key factors of non-oral to oral feeding in children with CEA and the family-centered multidisciplinary collaboration model of CEA children based on the clinical swallowing assessment program, so as to give correct feeding information of CEA children and provide an appropriate scheme for their non-oral to oral feeding.
