Abstract:Biological science literacy has become an essential quality of modern citizens. An understanding of the situation of biological science literacy of junior middle school students is conducive to promote the reform of basic education and healthy development of biology education. After introduction of biological science literacy and evaluation index system,the evaluation index system of biological science literacy for junior middle school students is constructed and analyzed by construction elements,structure characteristics and application key points. A questionnaire accommodating the characteristics of junior middle school students is formulated in the assessment of the evaluation index system,and the scope and method of analysis are determined. The results demonstrate that the evaluation index system of biological science literacy for junior middle school students is reliable,objective,scientific and practical.
