Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most prevalent neurodevelopmental behavior disorders of childhood that is characterized by the core symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity with an early onset. Most children with ADHD have significant impairment of their executive functions, especially in preschoolers. The impairment of their executive functions can affect virtually various areas of a child's life, so it is very important to diagnose and interfere in early childhood. Non-pharmacological intervention is central to the management for preschoolers with ADHD. This paper reviews the research progress of interventional methods of improving executive functions of ADHD in preschool children.
