Abstract:Pitch is the element that composes musical tone and linguist intonation. The individuals with amusia not only have the pitch disorder, but also have the intonation disorder in tone and non-tone languages to a certain extent. Meanwhile, the factors such as the category and presentation of language can also affect intonation processing. The cognitive neuroscience research on intonation in amusia is helpful to provide the evidence to the “resource-sharing framework” that is between music and language, and possibly also provide clinical reference to aphsia and amusia.
