Education in language games on vocabulary development of 0-30 month-old infant: a case study

Abstract:Objective To observe and study the effect of the language games on the development of infant's language ability. Methods Tracking study was conducted in the first author's new-born baby from birth to 30 months, which was based on the intervening of language game and using observation to collect data. Results The results of vocabulary measured by practical instruments showed that the vocabulary of the subject was over 90% of the norm percentile at 25 months and over 100% of the norm percentile at 30 months. Conclusion The research indicated that in the early childhood education, language games could enhance the development of language ability of 0-30 month-old infants.
