Investigation of college students’ attitude and behavior of self-directed learning in blended teaching mode |

Abstract Objective To explore the effective ways to promote students’ self-directed learning in blended teaching, and provide ideas and reference for further improving of the quality of blended teaching. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the attitude and behavior of medical college students towards self-directed learning in blended learning. The academic achievement of the students was compared and analyzed. Results Most students held a positive attitude towards self-directed learning and had good habits of self-directed learning behavior in the blended teaching course. The students were highly satisfied with all aspects of the blended teaching course and their performance in group discussion and coursework also improved significantly. Conclusion The online open learning resources, offline collaborative learning, and diversified learning evaluation in the blended teaching mode can fully stimulate students’ willingness to learn independently and improve the learning effect.
