Abstract Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is one of the most serious neurodevelopmental disorders known in the world. In recent years, the global incidence rate has been increasing, but its etiology and pathogenesis are unknown, so it is still necessary to be continuously studied. Many studies of ASD are conducted through animal models, and the rat model is a classic animal model of ASD. Behavioral test is an important tool for evaluating the success of ASD rat model. Understanding the behavioral test related to ASD rat models is particularly important for experimental research. Therefore, this article systematically reviews the behavioral methods of ASD rat models.
