Abstract:Objective To discuss the application effect of the information-based continuous health management mode on the postpartum maternal and infant health care service. Methods A total of 220 postpartum women who gave birth at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gansu Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as the research subjects, and they were randomly divided into control group and intervention group. The control group received routine postpartum health care, while the intervention group adopted an information-based continuous health management mode. The maternal and infant health status and psychological health status of postpartum women were compared between the two groups during the puerperium and 3 months after delivery. Results During the puerperium period, exclusive breastfeeding rate and postpartum pelvic floor muscle exercise in the intervention group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.01). Incident rates of insufficient milk secretion, mastitis, neonatal umbilical infection, and neonatal diaper rash in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). At the end of 3-month postpartum period, exclusive breastfeeding rate in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P< 0 .01); incident rates of mastitis, postpartum depression, and infant dyspepsia in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05, P<0.01). Conclusion The use of information-based postpartum continuous health management mode can promote maternal and infant health and reduce the incidence of maternal depression.
