Abstract：Hot executive function is an advanced cognitive function that helps people solve practical problems, with strong emotional and motivational involvement, and highly adapts to social contexts. With the rapid development of the prefrontal lobe, hot executive function continues to develop in childhood and adolescence. Influenced by external environment and internal resources, hot executive function exhibits dysregulation in psychological disorders. It is hoped that future studies should develop diverse research paradigms, integrate imaging techniques, and explore the development, changes, and neural mechanisms of hot executive function.
