Abstract Bilinguals, who can use two languages, have cognitive advantages. In recent years, the ability of bilinguals in statistical learning has attracted widespread attention from the academic community. Statistical learning, as an important component of human cognition, refers to the process in which individuals gradually discover the statistical regularities in a continuous stream of external stimuli. This paper reviews the relevant foreign literature on bilingual statistical learning, and explores its developmental trends.
