Abstract In recent years, the incidence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has significantly increased, attracting widespread attention. Studies have shown that there is a close relationship between immune abnormalities and ASD. This article reviews the research progress of immune abnormalities-related manifestations in ASD, mainly involving immunogenetics, family history of autoimmune diseases, maternal immune activation, and immune dysfunction in individuals with ASD, which helps to explore the cause and treatment of ASD.
