| Analysis of therapeutic effect of integrative medicine on pediatric trigger thumb |

Abstract Objective To study the effect of integrative medicine on the treatment of pediatric trigger thumb. Methods Clinical data of 83 children with trigger thumb treated on Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, from July 2017 to June 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The children were divided into routinetreatment group（RTG）（n=41）and combined treatment group（CTG）（n=42）according to different treatment schemes. Children of RTG received physical factor therapy and family rehabilitation. Children of CTG were added traditional Chinese medicine massage therapy on this basis. Before and after treatment, trigger thumb severity grades were recorded. The time of improvement of trigger finger grading, thumb flexion deformity disappearance, and independent movement without bounce was recorded and compared. The cure rates of the two groups in 1 year were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in trigger firger grading between the two groups（P> 0 .05）. After treatment, the onset time of CTG was significantly earlier than that of RTG（P<0.05）. The cure time of CTG was significantly shorter than that of RTG（P<0.01）. In 1 year, 50 fingers in RTG were cured with cure rate of 90 . 9 %, and 54 fingers in CTG were cured with cure rate of 94 . 7 %. There was no significant difference in the cure rate between the two groups（P>0.05）. Conclusion Integrative medicine in the treatment of pediatric trigger thumb can speed up the treatment process and shorten the cure time. Integrative medicine is worth promoting with obvious advantages.
