Abstract Screen exposure has become an increasingly prominent issue in the lifestyle of children and adolescents worldwide, and its impact on children's cognition and language varies from different ages. Long exposure to screen media before one year of age has a definite negative impact on language development. A comparative study of screen exposure at different ages will lead to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder symptoms. The mechanism mainly involves the transfer deficit of children before 2 years of age of screen learning. Therefore, the time of screen use can be referred to the recommendations of screen exposure guidelines in various countries.
