The quantity of induced counterfactual thinking in the elderly was significantly smaller than that in the college students(P < 0.001),and the rationality was significantly higher than that in the college students(P < 0.01). The score of counterfactual inference test in the elderly was significantly higher than that in the college students(P < 0.05). Conclusion Compared with the young, the counterfactual thinking in the elderly is more stable.
